Museum of fine Arts

My first visit to the MFA opened me up to a lot of new things and I feel very cultured now.
Art is people decorating masks they can wear on their heads or drawing pictures in their plates and bowls to make dinner more interesting. Art is also sitting in a corner of the African wing and listen to someone read us stories. It is looking at a picture and telling a story about it. Art is looking at all the different colors you see in a painting or counting the windows in a photograph by Harry Callahan.

Art is searching for the perfect image to draw and transform into a necklace you can take home.

Art is learning about a John Singleton Copley's Watson and the Shark during the kids museum tour or counting the toes of the Chinese dragon dancing on a Japanese Kimono to find out if it was the Emperor's dress. And it was because the dragon had five toes instead of four.

Best of all, art is rocking out to Madonna! I am not kidding! I made mom go back to the Seeing Songs exhibit at least three times so I could watch 30 screens showing 30 Madonna fans singing her songs (a video installation by Candice Breitz). I loved it!

We wrapped up our day with a Kung Fu Lion Dance performance.
When do we go back!?

Quand-est-ce-qu'on y retourne!?
