Father's Day Weekend / Weekend de la Fête des Pères

Oui, c'est la fête des père aujourd'hui et on c'est bien amusé tout le weekend!
Hier on est allé visiter le jardin botanique de la Côte Sud. Plein de fleur, des fontaines et un lac avec des canards. On a même vu des tous petits canards, maman les appelaient cannetons, mais je prefère dire petit canard...

Après ça, on a pris des sandwich et on est allé manger sur les falaise de Palos Verdes Estates. Très joli et très bon aussi. Dans l'après-midi on est allé se rafraîchir a la piscine et puis on on est allé manger thailandais le soir.

Et ce matin j'ai aide maman a faire un bon petit déjeuner pour papa, ensuite je suis allée me promener avec maman dans la poussette, et après une bonne douche on est de-nouveau alle chercher des sandwich qu'on a mangé a la plage. Je me suis bien amusée a faire des trous dans le sable et a jouer au bord de l'eau!

On est tous repassé a la douche pour être tout beau tout propre pour notre tour en gondole ce soir.

Today was father's day and we pretty much celebrated all weekend... Yesterday we visitied the South Coast Botanical gardens. I love to smell all the flowers, and they had lots of fountains and even a lake with ducks. There was even a little duck. Dad said it was a duckling, but I like to call it a "little duck"...

Afterwards we grabbed some sandwiches and ate them on the Palos Verdes Cliffs by Malaga cove. It was very pretty and very yummy. That afternoon, we walked to the swimming pool and then got Thai food for dinner.

Then this morning, we made a super nice breakfast for Dad, then I went on a walk with Mom while Dad hit the gym. For lunch we grabbed some sandwiches again and walked (well I rode again in the stroller) down to the beach. I had fun digging holes and playing close to the waves.

After we all rinsed off, we met up with Paula and Aaron and Katie and Travis for a gondola ride in Huntington Beach.

Juste pour le prouver, je voulais vous montrer comme j'aime bien aller faire pipi sur le pot!

Et aujourd'hui on est allé écouter un peu de musique live at la place Metlox a Manhattan Beach. Le mieux c'était quand même la fontaine ou je me suis amusé tout l'après-midi (oui, je suis rentrée trempé, mais alors qu'est-ce-que c'était bien!)

I just wanted to show you how much I like my potty and tell you I had a great time listening to the live music at Metlox Plaza in Manhattan Beach. Well actually the best part was the water feature I played in. And yes I came home soaked but it was SO worth it!

Potty training Day Three / Sans pampers, le Troisieme Jour

Aujourd'hui était le dernier jour du debut de la fin de mes couches! Et j'avoue que je suis assey fière de moi. Ce soir, après le bain alors que papa me lisait déjà une histoire avant d'aller au lit, je l'ai interrompu car je devais alle faire pipi même si j'avais un pampers pour la nuit. Alors voilà, j'ai tout compris! Je vous dirrai quand j'aurai complètement abandonner mes couches...

Au programme aujourd'hui: timbré des cartes avec des pommes-de-terre, décoré les lettres de mon nom pour mettre dans ma chambre,2 sorties au parc, peinture bien sur et décorer de pots de fleurs avec de caillous et de coquillage.
Je vais en emmener un avec les biscuits que j'ai fait hier à l'école pour l'offrir à mes maitresse.

Today was the last day of the beginning of the end of my wearing diapers! And I'll admit that I'm pretty proud of myself. Tonight, after my bath, while Dad was already reading me a book, I had to stop him and let him know I had to go to the potty even though I was wearing a diaper for the night. So, as you can tell, I got the hang of this! I'll let you know when I'm completely done with my diapers.

Today's program: Potato stamping, decorating the letters of my name to put in my room, 2 visits at the park, painting of course and decorating flower pots with pretty shells and pebbles.
I am going to bring one to school tomorrow, I stuffed it with a bag of the cookies I made yesterday. I hope my teachers all like it!

Potty training Day Two / Sans pampers, le Deuxieme Jour

I want to potty train everyday, I'm having so much fun with Mom and Dad! Today I got to go outside for an hour, we went to the park and I kicked the soccer ball around with Dad. We also had the beach ball with us but it was a bit windy and it would roll UP HILL! I also had fun blowing bubbles; Mom looked funny running after them and Dad was jumping around doing tricks with the ball.
I had a little accident there. I was wearing just pants and I forgot to tell my parents I had to go. Luckily they were prepared and had another pair of dry pants for me.

We also did some more paintings, played with the playdough we made yesterday and I helped make cookies. And yes, they are pretty tasty too!
Mom had to take Fritz to the vet today, but I think he'll be ok. I can't wait for tomorrow!

Je veux m'exercer à utiliser mon pot tous les jours parce-que je m'amuse tellement ce weekend avec Papa et Maman. Aujourd'hui on est allé au parc et j'ai joué au foot avec Papa. Par contre le ballon de plage n'arrêtait pas de remonter la pente à cause de vent alors on a du le dégonfler. J'ai fais tout plein de bulles de savon que Maman essayait d'attraper et Papa nous à montrer tous ces trucs cool avec la balle de foot.
J'ai eu un petit accident car j'ai oublie de dire à maman ou papa que je devais faire pipi, mais ils avaient emmené des affaires de rechange, alors j'étais vite au sec.

On a aussi fait de la peinture et joué avec la pâte a modeler qu'on a fait hier. J'ai aussi aidé a faire des biscuits aujourd'hui. Et oui, ils sont très bons!

Maman a du emmené Fritz chez le vétérinaire mais je crois qu'il va se remettre. Et moi, je me rejouis de demain!

Potty training Day One / Sans pampers, le premier jour

This is no ordinary weekend. I am running around without my diaper. Well it's even more than that, I'm running around without any bottoms on, and it's a lot of fun! There are pottys everywhere in the house and my parents want me to pee in them when I need to go. They didn't really explain to me what the game was all about so I had an accident at breakfast but ever since I peed in my potty every time I needed to go. I like it because Mom and Dad do a funny dance when I go. I do a funny dance too when they go too so it's fun for everyone.
I was bummed I couldn't go outside today, BUT they'd planned lots of great activities. So far we made puzzles, played with finger paints, draw with markers and crayons, colors the balcony with chalks,gardened, spend a lot of time playing with Mom and Dad, made (and ate) a cheerios necklace and Mom just made some pink playdough I can't wait to play with!
So overall it's a very fun day!

Ce weekend n'est pas comme tous les autres, j'ai pas de couche! Ca va même plus loin, j'ai pas de pantalons non plus et je m'amuse beaucoup! Il y a des pots partout dans la maison et je suis sensé les utilisé quand je dois aller faire pipi. Papa et Maman m'ont pas vraiment expliqué les règles du jeu ce matin alors j'ai eu un petit accident au petit déjeuner mais depuis j'ai utilisé mon pot a tout les coups. A chaque fois, mes parents me font un démo de danse, alors ca me motive, et je danse pour eux aussi.
Au départ ça m'embêtait de ne pas pouvoir aller dehors aujourd'hui, mais Papa et Maman avaient prévu plein de choses pour m'occuper. On a fait des puzzles, peint avec les doigts, fais de dessins et du jardinage,fait (et mangé) un collier de céréales, coloré le balcon avec de la craie et passé beaucoupd de temps à m'amuser avec Papa et Maman. D'ailleurs Maman vient de faire de la pâte à modeler rose, je vais essayer d'en faire qquch.
On s'amuse donc bien!

Last weekend was tons of fun. Grandma, grandpa and Uncle Scott came to visit us to celebrate Mom's graduation. I loved the ceremonies and spending time with every one!

Le weekend passé était super. Grand-maman, grand-papa et Oncle Scott sont venus nous rendre visite pour la remise de diplôme de maman. Je m'y suis beaucoup amusée et ai aimé passé du temps avec tout le monde!

High Chair / Ma Chaise

As of yesterday I can climb in my high chair all by myself. It's like a little ladder and when I get to the top I turn around and sit down to eat!

Depuis hier je monte toute seule dans ma chaise. C'est un peu comme un échelle et quand j'arrive tout en haut je me retourne pour m'assoir et suis prête à manger!

On a passé un bon weekend de la fête des mères, Maman vous racontera.

Dodger game / Match de baseball

Grand-Papa Ron est venu nous aider a emmenager ce weekend. Mais vendredi soir je suis allee a mon premier match de baseball: Los Angeles Dodger contre San Diego Padres.

Grand-papa, Papa et moi on avait tous nous casquette et habits de Padres. J'ai bien aime regarder pendant une heure mais apres j'ai prefere me promener dans le stade avec maman.
Le lendemain Grand-papa m'a emmener au parc et on a fait voler un cerf-volant! Et apres tout ca, j'etait super triste quand il a du partir dimanche matin. Mais maintenant je sais dire grand-papa en francais.

Le weekend c'est terminer avec une autre visite. Mateo, un ami de maman, est arriver a Los Angeles apres etre descendu en velo depuis San Francisco. Il est tres rigolo!

Grandpa Ron came to help us settle into our new place this weekend. But Friday night we decided to relax and go to my first baseball game: Padres vs Dodgers. Grandpa, Dad and I were all wearing our Padres game. And while I liked watching the first 3 innings or so, after that it was much more fun to walk around the stadium with mom!
The next day, grandpa took me to the park to fly a kite. how fun! And after all that, I was really sad to see him go Sunday morning. But now I know how to say Grandpa in French: Grand-papa

We had another visitor to round up the weekend. Mom's friend Mateo arrived in LA after biking all the way from San Francisco! He stayed with us for a day and was lots of fun!

La fin du mois a ete tout aussi occupe que le debut!
Avec Maman, je suis allee rendre visite a Kenda et Margaux at Plano dans le Texas. Je me suis beaucoup amuse avec Margaux et elle me manque! Elle etait avec moi dans le siege arriere de la voiture, on a joue ensemble, fait des biscuit, lu des livre et chanter et danser. Elle m'a aussi tenu la main lors de notre visite a l'arboretum de Dallas.

L'arboretum est un endroit super ou il y a des fleures de toutes les couleurs et toutes les senteurs partout. Et puis il y des maisons a decouvrir et des fontaines. Ma preferee avait des grenouilles geante aux 4 coins qui avait un jet d'eau qui arrivait sur a un globe au milieu de la place. On a couru sous les arches d'eau et sommes restees assises sure les grenouilles jusqu'a ce qu'on soit trempee. Genial!

On a aussi passe une bonne soiree a faire des biscuits. Margaux a mesure ce dont on avait besoin et j'ai aider a verser le tout dans le bol et a remuer. Kenda m'a aide a graisser la plaque, probablement mon truc prefere!

Et puis on s'est fait une soiree karaoke. J'avais mon micro et j'etais une chanteuse d'accompagnement. J'ai meme appris des nouveau movements de danse. Et bien sur il y a eu la soiree avec les girlscout. Autour du feu a chanter des chansons...

Pour la premiere fois, je me souviens du nom des gens. Meme apres une semaine a la maison, je demande encore a maman quand je vais revoir Kenda et Margaux.

Grand nouvelle, on a demenage! Ma nouvelle chambre est super et j'ai un nouveau petit lit qui me plait tout autant; je peux me leverquand je veux le matin :-)

The end of the month was just as exciting as the rest of it!
Mom and I flew to Texas to visit Kenda and Margaux in Plano. I had tons of fun playing with Margaux and I miss her a ton! She rode with me in the car, played with me, made brownies with me, read me books, sang and danced with me and held my hand the entire time we were at the Dallas Arboretum.

The Arboretum was an awesome place. Flowers of all colors and fragrances at every corner, all kinds of play structure to discover AND more fountains than I've ever seen in one place. My favorite, just like Kenda predicted was the giant frogs. There was one at each corner of a plaza shooting water jets from their mouth onto a globe sitting in the middle. My friends and I ran under the water arches and sat on the frogs until we were soaked. It was the best time ever!

I also had fun making brownies. Margaux measured out what we needed and I helped pour in in the bowl and mix. The best part was greasing the brownie pan with my hands!

We even had a Karaoke night! I had my own mic and was Margaux backup singer. She taught me some new moves. Oh and I can't forget the girlscout smores night. How fun! I tried to learn how to tumble and mastered drinking from a waterfountain.

For the first time I remembered and said people's name. Even once we were back home I was asked for Margaux and Kenda. I hope I get to see them soon again.

One more big news, we moved! I love my new room especially my new toddler bed. Now I can get up whenever I want in the morning:-)
